Bust Half Dollars
1830 50C Small 0, O-110, R.3, MS64 PCGS. CAC. No evidence of die rust or die cracks. The high, tall M in AMERICA shows its bottom serifs slightly higher than the flanking A and E, and the A in STATES displays a triangular defect above the crossbar. The reverse is shared with O-105 and O-112, with several crossbars visible in the right (facing) wing among the feathers. The obverse die was refinished, now with well-formed stars clear of the milling. The strike is sharp except on Liberty's drapery folds, and on the opposing reverse at STA of STATES and across the scroll beneath, where roller marks affect the strike. A scarce variety, ranking solidly in the Condition Census for the O-110 variety with CAC endorsement (66, 65, 64, 64, 64). Housed in a green label holder.
