Bust Half Dollars
1832 50C Small Letters, O-107, R.2, MS63 NGC. A curl pierces the border of the headband between R and T of LIBERTY to confirm the obverse die, while the reverse shows the Ts in STATES cocked clockwise. Additional pick-up points include the 2 in the date riding high above 183, and a diagnostic tine off the right shield corner, through the feathers, into the field near the eagle's neck. Peach-gold and azure-blue shades grace the lustrous surfaces of this sharply struck Select Uncirculated example, which is tied at the low end of the Condition Census for the variety (65,64,64,64,63).
