Seated Half Dollars
1854-O 50C Arrows, WB-101, Die Pair 44, R.3, MS65 PCGS. CAC. Heavy die cracks in the date area and a strong crack above star 12 to Liberty's wrist signal an advanced state of the obverse die, while the sharp and uncracked reverse is free of any signs of die failure. Overall, the strike is sharp on both sides including Liberty's top hair strands. With the exception of star 8, the obverse stars are sharply formed. More satiny than frosty, the vibrant silver surfaces show only tiny marks and bits of amber-gold toning at the borders. A lustrous, high-end Gem coin housed in a first generation small PCGS holder with CAC endorsement. Population: 20 in 65, 18 finer. CAC: 8 in 65, 5 finer (11/16).
