1869-S 50C WB-101, Die Pair 2, R.3, MS65 PCGS. CAC. The tan-orange peripheral accents on the otherwise pearl-gray obverse deepen and join patches of sage on the lustrous reverse. Strongly struck in the centers with a degree of softness noted only at the obverse stars and a few vertical roller marks. Great eye appeal for this underrated issue, struck from an interesting die pair with the remnants of misplaced digits in Liberty's gown folds and to the left of the shield in the rock. CAC endorsed.
