Proof Seated Half Dollars
1870 50C PR65 PCGS. Pale iridescence covers the mirrored obverse in shades of light blue, gold, green, and pale-yellow. The reverse displays orange-gold border toning around a silver center with slate-gray accents. Diagnostic circular die lines run through the recessed areas of the shield and Liberty's gown. The strike is needle-sharp on this Gem proof, one of 1,000 pieces struck. Population: 15 in 65 (1 in 65+), 5 finer (11/16).
