This Gem CAC 1870 proof half dollar is too deeply toned to deliver field-motif contrast, but the vivid sun-orange, violet, and ocean-blue toning that blankets each side is visually pleasing. The strike is bold, and the fields display reflective mirroring. Population: 15 in 65 (1 in 65+), 5 finer. CAC: 4 in 65, 3 finer (11/16).
