1878 50C PR65 PCGS. This boldly struck, reflective Choice proof half dollar displays vivid multicolor toning in concentric shades of mint-gold, blue, lavender, and sun-orange. The obverse displays stark cameo contrast even through the patina, the reverse less so. A good coin for type purposes with 800 proofs minted. Population: 16 in 65, 6 finer (11/16).
