Proof Seated Half Dollars
1886 50C PR66 PCGS. In one of those curious numismatic coincidences, the proof mintage of the 1886 Seated half is recorded as 886 pieces. This clearly original example boasts gorgeous patina and super eye appeal, with electric blue encircling the rim and ceding to pink and gold hues at the centers on both sides. The strike is uniformly sharp throughout, and as expected for the grade, there are no distractions of any kind. Population: 15 in 66, 5 finer (11/16).
