Barber Half Dollars
1892 50C MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The 1892 Barber half dollar was well-saved as a first-year issue, but its availability declines sharply above the MS65 grade level, and it is genuinely rare finer than MS66. This Plus-graded example boasts thickly frosted luster beneath a veil of iridescent lavender-gray and pale gold toning, with deeper olive-green colors also seen around the obverse peripheries. The strike is bold and there are no noticeable abrasions. Population: 52 in 66 (5 in 66+), 13 finer. CAC: 22 in 66, 12 finer (11/16).
