Barber Half Dollars
1904-S 50C AU58 PCGS. Only a trace of high point rub and a few light marks keep this glossy and still-lustrous 1904-S from a full Mint State designation. The surfaces display golden-gray toning with dappled multicolor accents along with much underlying brightness. The obverse has some faint roller marks and a few light abrasions, most of which are only visible with magnification. Otherwise, there are no post-striking defects worthy of mention.
The 1904-S is a widely recognized key to the Barber half series, and one that is generally not available in mint condition. Its key status makes it of primary interest to date-and-mintmark collectors. As such, this example should garner a great deal of interest when it crosses the block. Population: 11 in 58, 37 finer (10/16).
