Barber Half Dollars
1911 50C MS66 PCGS. Ex: Shireman. The 1911 Barber half is among the better-produced issues in the series. All of the star centers are full on the obverse of this Premium Gem, the hairline shows full separation along its whole length, and most of the leaves on Liberty's headdress are well brought-up. A touch of light iridescent color appears near the obverse rim. The reverse shows a similar color palette, and ample luster prevails throughout. Even the usual upper-right shield area and the eagle's right (facing) claw are bold, a phenomenon seldom seen. Population: 14 in 66, 0 finer (11/16).
