Barber Half Dollars
1915 50C MS65 PCGS. The Barber half dollar design was retired after 1915, in favor of the Walking Liberty motif. A small mintage of 138,000 coins was struck at the Philadelphia Mint that year, making the issue an elusive series key. This attractive MS65 specimen exhibits well-detailed design elements, with just a trace of the usual softness on the shield point. The well-preserved surfaces show dusky shades of golden-brown and lavender-gray toning, with satiny mint luster underneath. Population: 17 in 65 (2 in 65+), 5 finer (11/16).
