Proof Barber Half Dollars
1896 50C PR65 Cameo PCGS. Deep multicolored patina decorates the fully struck, near-pristine surfaces of this Gem proof, in an interesting mix of variegated colors that include olive, sea-green, maroon, and sky-blue. Virtually mark-free, with profoundly reflective fields, a few wispy die polish lines (as struck) extend across the lower obverse. This issue is quite scarce at the Gem level of preservation, and with the Cameo designation. Population: 10 in 65 Cameo, 17 finer (11/16).
