1795 $1 Flowing Hair, Two Leaves, B-1, BB-21, R.2, VF25 NGC. Bowers Die State I. Diagnostic markers for this available variety include two leaves under each wing, berries arranged 9x10, the berry under the right foot of the A in AMERICA, and one point of star 1 touching the lowest curl. Bowers notes that most examples grade between VF20 and VF35, though a number of high-grade pieces are known. This well-circulated Flowing Hair dollar has varying shades of steel and olive-gray patina. The motifs, though worn over the high points, maintain good detail overall. A few wispy marks are noted on the portrait.
