Die State III, the obverse was heavily lapped to remove clash marks with certain design elements removed in the process. Reiver State b. Traces of the erroneous R beneath the E in LIBERTY are only faintly visible, and the tips of the hair curls are mostly shortened. Light grayish-silver surfaces with peripheral champagne color. A few minor digs are evident in the left obverse field, with other faint hairlines and small imperfections. The reverse is rotated 45 degrees counterclockwise.
