Early Dollars
1795 $1 Draped Bust, Off-Center, B-14, BB-51, R.2, AU53 PCGS. Only two varieties are known for the 1795 Draped Bust silver dollars, and they are easily distinguished by the position of the bust, either centered or left of center as on this example. Both sides of this piece have generous remaining portions of original mint luster with light gray color and faint steel toning intermingled on the surfaces. Light hairlines and other slight abrasions are visible with close examination. Most references state that this variety is only known from perfect dies, although this example shows faint traces of clash marks on the obverse.
