1796 $1 Small Date, Large Letters, B-4, BB-61, R.3, XF40 PCGS. Bowers Die State 1, the usual die state for these dies with the hair details at the top of the obverse complete and sharply detailed. This lovely dollar has excellent relief, with pewter and golden-gray surfaces, exhibiting a ring of steel toning on the reverse.
