1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, Close Date, B-26, BB-114, R.5, AU53 PCGS. Ex: Miller. Bowers Die State V. The Warren Miller Collection was perhaps the most extensive of all early dollar holdings. It was compiled over 32 years, and contained 118 different die marriages. The present example of the very scarce BB-114 is fifth on the list of the Bowers' Silver Dollar Encyclopedia Notable Specimens for the variety. It is well defined and partly lustrous with rich autumn-brown, lilac, and cobalt-blue patina. The fields exhibit a number of unobtrusive thin marks.
