1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, Four Berries, B-8, BB-125, R.2, VF20 NGC. Bowers Die State III. Four large berries on the reverse. Struck from a mid-to-late die state, with numerous die cracks on both the obverse and reverse plus signs of die failure on both sides. The left obverse is weak while the reverse at UNITED shows loss of detail from die buckling. Brownish-blue patina covers the surfaces with deep, natural toning. A readily available variety, almost always found in circulated grades.
