1799 $1 7x6 Stars, B-18, BB-154, R.4, AU50 PCGS. Bowers Die State IV. A bold die crack from the left (facing) shield point to the rim between the ED in UNITED identifies this challenging BB-154 marriage. Glimpses of almond-gold overlie cream-gray fields and devices. Circulation wear is minimal, and luster beckons from the hair and plumage. The Bowers reference calls this variety the second-rarest die variety of 1799 (only BB-151 is scarcer) with just 60 to 100 pieces known. Housed in a green label holder.
