The obverse die shows bold die clashing above the date, with long, curving die cracks that intersect at the base of Liberty's neck. Smooth and attractive golden-gray surfaces deepen to gunmetal-blue near the borders, while the reverse displays deep bluish-gray toning with golden highlights. Small nicks and ticks are visible with a glass and a sequence of small planchet voids exists among the field stars on the reverse, yet the motifs are well-struck and minimally worn for the assigned grade.
