Seated Dollars
1847 $1 MS61 PCGS. CAC. This boldly struck 1847 Seated dollar exhibits semiprooflike mirroring in the fields with light, scattered abrasions. Both sides show iridescent champagne and pale lavender hues, with lightly mottled grayish overtones, the latter primarily over the devices. There are no major abrasions. This issue is one of the more often seen dates from this decade but is elusive in Uncirculated condition. Population: 12 in 61, 55 finer. CAC: 2 in 61, 7 finer (11/16).
