Seated Dollars
1850-O $1 AU55 PCGS. Only the second silver dollar struck at the New Orleans Mint, the 1850-O is a scarce date that is genuinely rare in Uncirculated condition. The low 40,000-coin mintage, combined with heavy circulation in the South, produced this semikey branch mint issue. Here offered is a Choice AU example with sharp detail and hints of luster. Deep olive-green and gray toning blankets each side, attesting to the originality of the surfaces. Population: 14 in 55, 20 finer (11/16).
