Seated Dollars
1859-S $1 MS62 PCGS. OC-1. An early die state coin, showing the 18 repunched at their bases. Coming from a small 20,000-coin mintage, the 1859-S Seated dollar is a rarity in Mint State. This example is boldly struck and displays satiny luster with warm champagne toning. Light, grade-limiting abrasions are not significant except for a mark in the reverse field below the D in UNITED and a thin scratch across Liberty's jaw toward the rims. Population: 8 in 62, 9 finer (11/16).
