1875-S T$1 Type One Reverse MS65 PCGS. Large S mintmark. The 1875-S is a favorite type-coin issue and is available through MS64. Gems are scarce but are well worth the effort to locate. Any Trade dollar in such fine condition is elusive and usually far more beautiful than the bulk of MS64 examples. This piece showcases vibrant luster and immediately apparent Gem-quality preservation of the fields. Some strike weakness on Liberty's head and the eagle's right (facing) talons is typical of the type in general but is less obvious on this piece than it is on many lower-grade examples. This is a coin that will stand out in a Trade dollar collection or a silver dollar type set. Population (all varieties included): 32 in 65 (1 in 65+), 10 finer (11/16).
