Proof Trade Dollars
1878 T$1 PR64 Cameo PCGS. Although some business strikes were struck at the branch mints, production of Trade dollars at the Philadelphia Mint was limited to 900 proof examples. This attractive Choice specimen displays frosty design elements, with razor-sharp definition, that contrast boldly with the deeply mirrored fields. The surfaces show a few minor contact marks and hairlines, under pleasing shades of pale gold toning. Population: 29 in 64 Cameo, 14 finer (11/16).
