Proof Trade Dollars
1881 T$1 PR64 NGC. Gold CAC. Trade dollars had not been struck for circulation since 1878, but the Mint continued to manufacture proofs for numismatic purposes in 1881. That year, 960 specimens were produced. Violet and blue tones coalesce over flashy, reflective fields. Fully struck and inarguably high-end for the Choice assessment. Housed in a prior generation holder with a Gold CAC sticker. NGC shows 64 finer submissions. Gold CAC: 7 in 64, 16 finer (10/16).
