1952 25C MS68 NGC. A crescent of rainbow toning grabs the eye, yet the subtle nuances of iridescent hues and a speckling of blue, umber, plum, and olive shades provide an earthy melding of colors that make this Superb Gem quarter among the finest known. The obverse is richly toned, moreso than the reverse. A glass reveals a die crack across the upper cranium and two or three tiny marks within the toning. This quarter is lustrous and exceptional, currently the NGC Coin Explorer plate coin.
