1916-D 50C MS65 PCGS. The obverse of this first-year Gem is layered in vivid target toning that begins with mint-green in the centers and deepens to orange, rose, and emerald-green as it advances peripherally. Less dramatic violet and olive-brown toning affects the outer portions of the reverse. An eye-appealing example that would prove difficult to improve.
