Walking Liberty Half Dollars
1917-D 50C Reverse MS65 PCGS. Mattelike luster is essentially untoned as it illuminates Gem-quality surfaces on this 1917-D Reverse Mintmark Walker. The fields are clean, and only a few tiny ticks are seen on Liberty's figure beneath a loupe. This issue is scarcer in Gem condition than its Obverse Mintmark counterpart, and pieces grading finer than this are rare. The date continues to be one of the more challenging acquisitions in a Gem-grade date and mintmark set. Population: 50 in 65 (2 in 65+), 5 finer (11/16).
