1937-S 50C MS67+ NGC. CAC. Brilliant, frost-white surfaces radiate flashy silver luster throughout this Superb Gem half. The 1937-S is typically well-produced and attractive, yet this CAC-endorsed example takes eye appeal to a new level. The strike is sharp overall, lacking completeness only on a few central details. Three or four tiny ticks on the eagle and another hidden in the laurel leaves are the sole marks on this remarkably smooth coin, but they require a loupe and a keen eye. It is the sole Plus-graded MS67 at NGC, where it is also the finest-certified. Census: 16 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 20 in 67, 0 finer (11/16).
