1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1878 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. This is the Short Nock variant of the Reverse of 1878 with parallel arrow feathers and 7 Tailfeathers. VAM enthusiasts will note the missing wing feathers where the eagle's right (facing) wing is overpolished, doubling on LIBERTY, and crumbling on the G in GOD.
Dazzling mint frost covers this nearly brilliant, high-end Premium Gem. All of the design details are crisply impressed, and the reverse is beautifully preserved. Liberty's cheek is very clean, and only a faint luster graze in the left obverse field precludes an even finer grade designation.
