1880 $1 MS66+ PCGS. The 1880 Morgan dollar is an anomaly in the series. It is only marginally scarce in MS66 but yet unknown in MS67. The present example is one of 15 Premium Gems that stand above the pack with a Plus designation at PCGS -- the finest certified (11/16). No Plus-graded coins exist at NGC in this grade. The strike is bold, and the frosty surfaces are devoid of toning. No major abrasions are seen.
