1880/79-CC $1 Reverse of 1878, VAM-4, MS65 PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. Harry Forman is credited with the 1964 discovery of the present die variety, which led to increased numismatic interest in 1880-dated Morgan varieties. The present VAM-4 Gem has a crisp strike and only a hint of golden-gray toning. The lustrous surfaces are exceptionally nice, even by the high standards of the MS65 grade.
