1881-S $1 MS68 NGC. The 1881 Morgan dollar is plentiful issue in high grade, but few survivors can match the technical quality and eye appeal of the present coin. This spectacular MS68 example exhibits sharply detailed design elements and vibrant mint luster throughout. The virtually pristine surfaces display vivid shades of lime-green and violet toning, with most of the color on the reverse. NGC has graded no coins in higher numeric grades (11/16).
