1882-O $1 MS65 Prooflike PCGS. Strong contrast between the richly frosted devices and the smooth, reflective fields makes this lustrous and prooflike 1882-O stand far above the normal New Orleans issue for the year. The 1882-O normally shows an indifferent strike and lackluster surfaces. This Gem example is brilliant and sharply struck -- the hair over the ear is sharp and the eagle's lower extremities show full details. Only minor signs of contact are present, none of which diminish the eye appeal. Population: 42 in 65 Prooflike, 2 finer (10/16).
