1883-O $1 MS67 NGC. This Superb Gem dollar surpasses the typical 1883-O in every regard -- strike, surface quality, and eye appeal. The fields are remarkably free of marks and reflective on both sides with a satiny sheen that radiates cartwheel luster. The sharply struck devices show a healthy coat of mint frost and display sharp definition over the ear and at the eagle's talons. A thin vignette of reddish-gold and blue toning at the borders frames brilliant-silver centers. Neither NGC nor PCGS has seen a numerically finer example of the issue. Census: 41 in 67 (3 in 67★), 0 finer (10/16).
