1889 $1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. A vibrantly lustrous, high-end Premium Gem with brilliant, frosty surfaces and a lack of any bothersome abrasions. The strike is only a trifle soft on the hair above Liberty's ear. The 1889 Morgan boasts a mintage of more than 21 million coins, although surprisingly few have survived in high grade by comparison. PCGS lists only four coins finer than the present piece. CAC: 78 in 66, 0 finer (10/16).
