Morgan Dollars
1891-CC $1 MS65 PCGS. The 1891-CC Morgan dollar was not heavily represented in the Treasury releases of the 1960s and the GSA sales that followed, so it remains an elusive issue in grades above MS65. This impressive Gem displays well-detailed design elements, with just a touch of the usual softness on the hair above the ear and the eagle's breast. The lightly toned surfaces show a mix of satiny mint luster and prooflike reflectivity on both sides. PCGS has graded 36 numerically finer examples (11/16).
