Morgan Dollars
1892-S $1 AU58 PCGS. Although the 1892-S is readily available in lower circulated grades, PCGS estimates that a little as 1% of the population survives in Mint State. The issue saw extensive use in Western commerce at the end of the 19th century, and virtually no collectors thought it necessary to set Uncirculated examples aside for posterity. The budget-minded enthusiast would do well do consider this pleasing near-Mint representative given the scarcity of higher-grade examples and the strong prices they command. Accents of pale mauve complement light, silvery surfaces. The motifs are well-struck with a trace of blending over the centers. Minimally marked.
