1892-S $1 Doubled Date, VAM-2, AU55 PCGS. Ex: California. A Top 100 Variety. This variety, discovered in 1965 by George Mallis, features substantial doubling on all four date digits. The 1892-S is a major condition rarity with perhaps only 1% of survivors in Mint State. This Choice AU dollar is bright and untoned with wispy marks over each side. Well-struck except for the extreme centers.
