1893-S $1 VF20 NGC. VAM-1. Untold numbers of business strike Morgan dollar collections fell a single coin shy of completion, unable to acquire an 1893-S. The issue has the lowest mintage of the series, excluding the proof-only 1895, and is often encountered with problems such as cleaning or damage. The present problem-free Very Fine example has lavender surfaces with cream-gray high points. Wear is even, and no marks merit commentary.
