Well known as the lowest mintage and rarest commercial issue of the Morgan dollar series, the 1893-S is most often seen in Very Fine grades with problems such as cleaning or damage. The present problem-free XF example is decidedly above average in quality. Luster illuminates peripheral elements, and the minimally toned surfaces show fewer than the expected number of marks. A worthy candidate for the advanced specialized collection.
