1894-S $1 MS64 PCGS. A ring of orange-gold toning visits the border of the obverse, yet otherwise this Choice 1894-S is brilliant and frosty. The strike is crisp throughout. The 1894-S is a better date in the series with a lower mintage of just over 1.2 million pieces. It is generally not considered a hoard coin. The Mint-fresh eye appeal confirms that assessment for this near-Mint example. A few light field abrasions on the obverse join only minor high point grazes.
