Morgan Dollars
1895-O $1 AU58 PCGS. Most of the 450,000 dollars struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1895 met one of two fates: Either they entered into circulation or were melted. Uncirculated survivors are very scarce and command exceedingly strong prices, placing added demand near-Mint coins like this brilliant, softly frosted example. That no dollars were struck at Philadelphia only heightens the pressure on the 1895-O. Aside from the usual central softness, the devices exhibit crisp detail. Light marks and a rim nick above the E on the obverse are unimportant.
