Morgan Dollars
1896-S $1 MS64 PCGS. Even though 5 million pieces were struck of the 1896-S dollar, and it is a common issue in circulated grades, there are very few Mint State examples known. Obviously, the vast majority of this issue was placed into circulation by the turn of the century. This piece has lovely satiny luster with the usual softness of strike in the centers. Lightly toned, there are just a few light abrasions on each side that accounts for the less-than-Gem grade.
