Proof Morgan Dollars
1886 $1 PR63 PCGS. The 18 and 6 are repunched. The Philadelphia Mint accomplished a mintage of 886 proof Morgan dollars in 1886. Whether or not that total had something to do with the date is unknown, though it being a coincidence seems unlikely. This lightly toned PR63 specimen is predictably fully struck with a thin layer of frost over the devices. Minimal reflectivity in the fields prevents a Cameo designation.
