Proof Morgan Dollars
1897 $1 PR67 Cameo NGC. A goodly number of 1897 proof Morgan dollars have survived from the original mintage of 731 pieces, but relatively few of these are designated as Cameos. The present Superb Gem Cameo proof displays a soft golden cast, slightly deeper at the margins. Sharply struck, lightly frosted devices yield strong contrast with the deeply mirrored fields. Impeccably preserved throughout. Census: 12 in 67 Cameo, 10 finer (10/16).
