Sacagawea Dollars
2000-P SAC$1 Goodacre Presentation SP68 ICG. #66 of 5,000. Sculptor Glenna Goodacre designed the Sacagawea dollar obverse. For her efforts, she was owed $5,000 by the U.S. Treasury, and she requested payment in Sacagawea dollars. They were given a special finish; glossy and prooflike but without cameo contrast. The coins were promptly distributed via ICG in specially marked holders. The present example is unabraded, and can be identified by tiny strike-throughs (as made) below the L in LIBERTY and above the eagle's tail.
