Standing Liberty Quarters
1918-S 25C MS66 Full Head PCGS. Ex: Just Having Fun. This remarkable Premium Gem is pedigreed to one of the all-time most prestigious Standing Liberty quarter collections ever assembled, and its quality is first-rate for the issue. Liberty's head and the date are razor-sharp, although the shield rivets, central gown area, and central eagle show the usual softness of the 1918-S. Glimpses of light golden toning grace the vibrantly lustrous, unabraded surfaces. The 1918-S is a great rarity in MS66 Full Head, and finer coins are virtually unobtainable for most collectors. Given the pedigree of the present coin, it would be nearly impossible to acquire a superior example.
Population: 15 in 66 (3 in 66+) Full Head, 1 finer (10/16).
Ex: Just Having Fun Collection (Stack's/Bowers, 8/2012), lot 11375.
